You can help support and enhance education in the Fairfield public schools by:

  • making a tax deductible contribution to the Foundation;
  • by honoring an educator;
  • by joining a committee of volunteers.

The Foundation is financed entirely from private fundraising. It will come from concerned parents, community corporations, private foundations and other sources, all committed to excellence in public education in Fairfield.

An educational foundation is an organization formed to disseminate information to the public and media. Specific focuses and goals for educational foundations vary, but many groups also raise funds, lobby legislators and provide networking opportunities for members.

The purpose of the Fairfield Foundation for Education is to support and enhance our town’s public education system by providing professional educators with funding for programs that enrich the curriculum and stimulate creative learning opportunities.

Education foundations have been in existence since 1978. There are currently more than 70 foundations in Connecticut and more than 3,000 throughout the United States.
