Dear Supporter,

Each year, the Fairfield Foundation for Education’s board asks: “How can we raise funds to provide grants to teachers that will make the biggest impact on our Fairfield community?”

It has always been events – wine tastings, the Chair Affair, delivering food – wonderful ways to connect, but as an all-volunteer non-profit board we’ve also realized something critical: the heart of our work is not in the events but in the grants we provide, promoting innovation, creativity and excellence in the Fairfield Public Schools.

This year we’re doing something different. Bold. Refreshingly simple.

We invite you to “attend” the Best Event You’ll Never Attend.

No ticket sales. No silent auction. No babysitter. Here’s how it works:

1. Stay home (pajamas encouraged).
2. Skip the ticket purchase but make a gift instead. What could be easier?

As you are making the donation, know that your gift will go toward grants that enrich the lives of our children.

Since the Fairfield Foundation for Education was founded in 2010, we have awarded 110  grants totaling almost $150,000. These grants have reached every school in our district, touching the lives of thousands of students in every aspect of learning: arts, science, math, technology, reading, and even mindfulness and reducing stress. This is why your support matters so much.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 through this non-event fundraiser. With your help, we can meet that goal and ensure that the lives of today’s students will be enriched.

Honor an Educator

Honor an Educator is a way to privately and publicly honor your child’s favorite teacher(s). The teacher gets a certificate that is suitable for framing and the school’s principal receives notification that the teacher has been honored. The teacher’s name is also placed in the honor roll on this website, a tribute that remains forever.

If teachers have been honored before, their names are included in the list in bold with an asterisk.

Donations start at $25 — it’s up to you to decide how much you want to donate. All money contributed to the Fairfield Foundation for Education, a 501 (c)(3) organization, is put into grants that teachers annually apply for, all with the sole purpose of bringing innovative programs to our public school children.
